Newsletter February
Dear members,
February flew by. For our members it was a relatively quiet month, but that certainly doesn’t mean there was nothing to enjoy. In fact, we’ve wrapped up several incredibly fun activities.
In this newsletter, we look back on the fantastic activity “Lost in Groningen” and take you along to the cozy social gathering where the foreign trip was announced. So grab a snack, pour yourself a drink, and enjoy reading along with us!
February truly flew by! This month we took Groningen by storm with our activity “Lost in Groningen.” In groups, members hopped on their bikes and traveled from house to house for a kind of pub crawl, but with a twist. From a competitive beer pong tournament to a surprising pub quiz, creative and fun games awaited at every stop. Compliments to the Activities Committee, this was exceptionally well organized!
Of course, our monthly social gathering couldn’t be missed either. With the theme “Hawaii,” the vibe was great from the very start, and it was once again a hugely successful evening. Time and again, you prove that you know exactly how to throw a party. During this gathering, the foreign trip was also announced… but you’ll read more about that in just a moment.
The Editorial Committee was busy this month as well. They sat down with Tessa de Wilde to talk about entrepreneurship in the going out sector. Everything was discussed, from developing a strong concept to building a powerful brand. Haven’t listened to this episode yet? Then it’s definitely worth checking out!
Last Thursday, the Foreign Trip Committee announced that we’ll be traveling to the beautiful city of Sofia. Don’t worry there won’t be a dreadful bus ride; we’ll be flying comfortably instead. We’re incredibly excited and are working hard to organize an amazing trip for you all. Registration is now open, so be sure to sign up, this is something you won’t want to miss!
Much love,
The Foreign Trip Committee
Registration for the foreign trip opens on March 5 at 5:00 PM via the website. Costs are €320 for members and €365 for non-members.
March has plenty in store for us! We kick off the month with a conference entirely focused on “A Strong Start in the Business World.” The Business Committee has worked hard on this and is excited to share more information.
Over the past few months, we’ve been busy preparing a fantastic conference that will take place on March 17 at 12:30 PM in the auditorium (ZP7). Our previous activity, the Kroegcollege (pub lecture), was a great success, so we’re very much looking forward to this conference. Be sure to mark it in your calendar!
The theme of the day is “A Strong Start in the Business World.” A delicious lunch will also be provided. This is your chance to network with potential internship companies and gain valuable tips on how to make a strong start in your career.
Much love,
The Business Committee
On March 18, activity number two is scheduled: a night at the karaoke bar! We’re incredibly excited and hope you are too. Start warming up those golden voices!
To wrap up the week nicely, we’ll be visiting RTV Noord on March 19. We’ll get a unique behind-the-scenes look and even get to think along about the future of regional media, how cool is that?
Of course, our monthly social gathering won’t be missing this month either. It will take place on March 26. But don’t go too wild if you’re signed up for the hitchhiking weekend, because on March 27 we’ll be departing for a secret location. We already can’t wait for the hitchhiking competition, this will undoubtedly be a weekend to remember.
Finally, there’s also a lecture scheduled for March 31. In short: a busy month full of amazing activities you really don’t want to miss. Not signed up yet? Make sure to do so quickly!
Love,
