Dear members,
July has flown by! This month was all about enjoying the holidays and wrapping up the academic year together. In this final newsletter, we look back on a month in which we officially brought the year to a close together.
We will also already be looking ahead to September. We understand that you are ABSOLUTELY NOT ready to think about that yet, but there are definitely a few dates you can already put in your calendar and that you REALLY DON’T want to miss! So grab yourself a tasty snack or drink and read along with us.
In July, we officially wrapped up the year with the final active members’ activity, namely... THE ALMANAC REVEAL! The Editorial Committee worked incredibly hard throughout the entire year to create a fantastic almanac filled with memories from the past year. From the scharrelspaghetti to every activity we organised, complete with all the juicy gossip. This booklet captures the entire year perfectly! A huge round of applause for the committee, you did an amazing job, guys!
Are you an active member and haven’t received your copy yet? You can pick it up from the aspiring board at our new office, A1.029, at the start of the new academic year.
Now that we are completely up to date, it is time to look ahead to the beginning of the new academic year. Don’t worry, you still have another month of holiday left, but we do have a few important announcements for you.
First of all, we are moving! HMV Actis is getting a new office. We are moving from A1.048 to A1.029. Same floor, same wing, just a different room. We will also be moving to a different cluster. SBMF will become the Entrepreneurship, Communication and Marketing cluster, which means the entire layout will be changing.
Of course, we have also planned another Introduction Week. During this week, the aspiring board will be working incredibly hard to recruit even more fun, lovely and enthusiastic people to join us.
In addition, our next General Members’ Meeting (GMM) is scheduled for 14 September. During this meeting, we will evaluate our entire year and you will learn more about the plans of the aspiring 36th Board of HMV Actis. The official changeover between the outgoing and incoming board will also take place. In other words, you definitely want to be there!
