Newsletter October
October has already come to an end, and what a fun and delightful month it has been. This month, we announced all our committees, held a super-spooky and cozy social, and each committee had their very first meeting. In this newsletter, we will look back on all these wonderful moments. So grab a drink and a snack, and reflect with us on a great month!
This past month, on October 9th, we were able to announce the committees. It was truly a great success! Almost all members were present. We gathered at the Vismarkt, after which we split members into groups and had them take part in a fantastic Actis bingo. Those with the most completed rows received the best hints, and by the end of the evening, everyone knew which committee they were in. And ohhh, what a fun evening it turned out to be! Thank you dear members; we are incredibly excited to organize great activities with all the committees this year.
All committees will briefly introduce themselves in the newsletter in the upcoming period, so keep an eye out for our monthly editions!
Autumn has arrived, which means we are already fully engaged in the new academic year. After a vibrant start in September, October certainly did not disappoint!
We kicked off the month with the long-awaited committee reveal, an exciting moment where everyone finally learned which committee they would be joining this year. It was amazing to see how much enthusiasm and motivation there is among our members. We are confident that it will be a year full of great activities!
Not long after, it was time for our spookiest event of the year: the Halloween social, this time at De Brouwerij. With a huge turnout, nearly everyone was there, it was definitely a night to remember! It was fantastic to see how much effort everyone put into dressing up. From terrifying costumes to hilarious outfits, the atmosphere was amazing and made for an unforgettable night full of fun.
To wrap up, we want to wish everyone lots of luck with the upcoming exam week. Take plenty of time to study, but don’t forget to treat yourself to a nice hot beverage and relax from time to time. You’ve got this!
In November, we of course have the most fun weekend of the year planned: the active members’ weekend. If you haven’t signed up yet, make sure to do so before November 4th. In addition, on November 27th we have a super cozy Thursday afternoon drink at the food court, and later that evening we’ll be going out for more drinks together!
We’re excited, hopefully you are too!
