Newsletter September

September has flown by, and what a fun and lively month it has been. This month we enjoyed a great introduction week, the handover of the boards, and a busy, hilarious first social drink. In this newsletter, we look back on all these wonderful moments. So grab a drink and a snack, and join us in reflecting on a beautiful month.

On September 15, the first General Assembly of the year took place. Here, the 34th board presented the achievements of the past year, and the 35th board presented their policy plan for the coming year. After all the presentations, it was time to vote. The 34th board was officially discharged, and the 35th board was officially inaugurated. We want to sincerely thank the 34th board for their dedication over the past year, and we are looking forward to a wonderful, fun, and successful year ahead.

The beautiful summer has, unfortunately, come to an end, and the new academic year has started. For us, the year began with an amazing introduction week, during which we met lots of enthusiastic first-year students. During this week, we gave presentations about Actis to get as many new members excited as possible. In addition, we organized fun informal activities at the Suikerterrein, so that all the first-years could really get to know each other. We wrapped up this fantastic week with a super fun intro social at the Negende Cirkel. As far as we’re concerned, it was a very successful introduction week!

After the intro week, the committee information days followed. During this week, all members interested in joining a committee were warmly welcomed at the office for a cup of coffee, some snacks, and of course, more information about the committees. We can proudly say that, as a board, we barely had a quiet moment because of all the wonderful visits. It was amazing to see how enthusiastic everyone is about the upcoming year.

We closed the month with an incredibly fun and hilarious social at the Negende Cirkel, this time with the theme Actis Green. Together with both old and new members, we celebrated the start of a wonderful year. It was fantastic to see that everyone put in the effort to show up in theme. Thank you all for a great month full of memorable moments!

In October, we will of course kick off with all kinds of fun activities. We’ll start the month with the committee reveal on October 9 for all active members. Exciting! We’ll close the month with the first super fun social on October 30, organized by the Party Committee. We’re really looking forward to getting to know everyone better and to an amazing year ahead!
